Discipline
School discipline is maintained in a firm but kindly way.
Rules of behaviour exist to maintain a safe, orderly environment within the school and to encourage good manners, social awareness and consideration for others. The overall aim is to encourage self-discipline. Good behaviour is fostered by relying upon the response of children to praise and encouragement. Kindness and respect are taught by example.
Anti-social behaviour by a child will produce immediate admonishment and, if necessary, removal from the company of other children for a short period, withdrawal from an activity or the child may be sent to the Head Teacher. In cases of persistent anti-social misbehaviour or more serious misdemeanours, Parents will be contacted with a view to home/school co-operation.
