After/Before School Clubs Timetable Autumn Term 2011

 Lunchtime activities eg. Gardening, Cookery, French and ICT Clubs and lots more are arranged for the children in Year 1 and Year 2 

After-school Clubs/ Before School Clubs – e.g. Karate Club, Multi Skills and lots more operate for different year groups throughout the year.

Theatre groups and visitors are invited into school and these experiences are used to augment the curriculum, e.g. Fire Brigade, Music Workshops, Artists, Authors, Sports Coaches.

In addition, educational outings are organised for the children, e.g. Visits to local churches, "The Angel of the North", " Locomotion Railway Museum", "Alnwick Castle and Gardens", "Hall Hill Farm", “ St Mary’s Lighthouse”.

Breakfast club facilities and after school provision is provided by Lamsley Child Care Services, based at the Junior School.

Throughout the year the school is involved in charity work helping the under-privileged, needy or elderly both here and abroad. Donations of goods and money are collected to support charities and harvest gifts are distributed.

Parents are invited into school for concerts, assemblies and other activities.

The Friends of Oakfield arrange fund raising activities for the school throughout the year to help provide additional facilities and equipment for the school. Membership of this group is open to parents of the pupils, staff and friends of the school.
