The Head Teacher and Staff believe that the links between home and school are of paramount importance as each child continues the process of learning which starts before the child joins the school community.
Parents and Guardians are welcome to visit the school at any time. It is the policy for the Head Teacher to see Parents/Guardians immediately. If, on occasions, this may not be possible parents are asked to arrange a mutually convenient time for the meeting.
Parents and Guardians are encouraged to keep in contact with the school on all matters of learning, progress and social development relating to their child. However, unless it is a matter of extreme urgency, it is best that a prior appointment is made with the Head Teacher who will either see the Parent or Guardian or alternatively arrange a meeting with the appropriate member of staff.
Parent consultation evenings are arranged twice each year to enable Parents and Guardians to discuss their child's progress with the class teacher, and future targets are shared.
An annual written report and future targets are provided in the summer term, and a third Parent Consultation Evening is offered.
Open mornings are arranged each year for Parents to work alongside their child on Literacy or Numeracy activities.
There are also assemblies and concerts which the Parents and Guardians are invited to attend.
In addition regular newsletters and notices are sent out to parents.
Parents are welcome to help in school on a voluntary basis, providing they have enhanced police clearance.
